What are Superman’s weaknesses?

Kryptonite is his most well known weakness. It can render all of his powers inert and harms him in the process. Long enough exposure and he will succumb



Magic is a lesser known weakness. Shazam’s mystic lightning, demonic magic, all types of magic has rendered him harmless. This is why he’s weak to Thor’s lightning, Wonder Woman’s armaments (forged by a god), and all sorts of other magic.



He also weak to psychic attacks. Poison Ivy’s pheromones, all sorts of psychic powers, and the infamous Black Mercy which sent him into a delusion of being in a happy normal life on a Krypton that was never destroyed (one of the best Superman stories ever)

He also has an upward limit of how much punishment he can endure. Enough blows and he will fall into a “healing coma” that may seem like death. Since he is essentially a living radiation battery, he is healed and sustained by the radiation from our sun. Without it he will eventually lose his powers and become more mortal. This means that against opponents with strength equal to his he may eventually be defeated. Against the original green Hulk he will lose, simply because “The more angry the Hulk gets the stronger he gets”.

The thing about Superman is he is one of a trinity. He is the blunt instrument but has been been as powerful as he is with Wonder Woman (the courage) and Batman (the mind). They all three are equally balanced in this sense.
